Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks suffered a crushing 17-14 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos, raising major concerns about turnovers and pass protection on Thursday Night Football. The offense continues to struggle, with Darnold now up to seven interceptions this season and the team tallying over a dozen total turnovers. Despite Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s standout performance and a serviceable running game, the offensive line—especially the right side—remains a major liability, and injuries to key tight ends like Elijah Arroyo only deepen the challenges. On defense, Seattle showed flashes of dominance, holding the Broncos to just 21 yards over five straight possessions in the second half, but ongoing red zone issues proved costly. Denver converted both of their trips for touchdowns, exposing the Seahawks’ biggest defensive weakness. Can Seattle fix these issues before Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs arrive? The NFC West race just got even tighter.
